Resignations of legislators, 1893-1895.

These files document Governor John Young Brown's use of the governor's power and priviledge to accept resignations from office. Included are letters of resignation from members of the Kentucky General Assembly. Legislators were required by law to submit their resignations to the governor if they occurred when the General Assembly was not in session. Also included is a resignation of a Kentucky representative to the United States Congress.
